About Faces of Scandinavia

VisitDenmark, Innovation Norway, VisitSweden and Icelandair have created a joint campaign “Faces of Scandinavia” in which famous Scandinavians are promoting their favorite local travel destinations. The purpose is to inspire U.S. travelers to visit Scandinavia.

The campaign promotes Denmark, Norway, and Sweden as three European destinations that combined make for one exciting vacation, with Icelandair as the preferred airline. Icelandair has convenient service to Copenhagen, Stockholm, and several airports in Norway. Several prominent Scandinavians are participating in the campaign. The campaign is centered around a site where visitors can interact by uploading their own face, as well as finding out what both famous Scandinavians as well as engaged locals loves about their home countries. Faces of Scandinavia’s collaborator and travel application, Guidepal, will guide the American travelers in Scandinavia via their smartphones.

Those who are curious about the region can enter a contest and win a three-country traveling package.The “Faces of Scandinavia” contest starts November 4th, 2010,
and will continue until January 14, 2011, when the winner will be announced.
